KBEAR 104.1 raised $83,201 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, January 25-26. KBEAR, along with Continental Auto Group, the 176th Wing Alaska Air National Guard, and numerous community volunteers hosted Country Cares for St. Jude Kids Radiothon. The KBEAR on-air team was live from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day. KBEAR 104.1 has been participating in the St. Jude Radiothons since 1996, and over the past 22 years Alaskans have contributed over 1.9 million dollars to support St. Jude through the Country Cares program.

KBEAR Program Director Matt Valley commented on the announcement, “This year we created the Heart of Hope, placing a sticky note with the name of every Partner in Hope on the window of the KBEAR Studio. So many names were added it became the Blob of Hope and filled the entire window!”
