Way up north in Alaska, Market Manager Scott Smith — who was the Master of Ceremonies at the 2019 Alaskans for Litter Prevention and Recycling Awards — accepted the Board of Directors Award on behalf of Alpha Media. The theme of the evening’s event was “May the Recycling Force Be With You!”
The following was said about of the award: “The Board of Directors Award recognizes a significant contribution to further litter prevention and recycling in Alaska and we are honored to present this year’s award to one of our long-standing and committed supporters, Alpha Media Alaska, and their amazing cadre of radio stations: Kool 97, MIX 103.1, KFQD, K-WHALE, K-BEAR, KHAR, and Classic Country.”
The awards ceremony took place May 2.
