Heritage Classic Rock station 96.5 WCMF (WCMF-FM) — currently celebrating 50 years on the air — has been inducted into the Rochester Music Hall of Fame. At the same ceremony, the station’s midday host, Dave Kane (pictured), was honored with a Special Merit Award for his 38 years on-air and overall contributions to music in the Rochester community. Rochester Music Hall of Fame Class of 2019 inductees were honored on April 28 at the Kodak Hall at Eastman Theatre in Rochester, NY.
“We are excited to be recognized by the Rochester Music Hall of Fame and celebrate with the community who has accompanied us on our 50-year journey,” said Sue Munn, Senior Vice President and Market Manager, Entercom Rochester. “For WCMF to be inducted in the same class with such talented, accomplished, and widely regarded individuals in the music industry is truly an honor.”
